When your renewal arrives we shop your specific risk across the appointed companies — your house, your driving record, your business class code, your specific liability exposures. We don't promote a brand. We promote a fit.
Each appointment below lists the year we were appointed and the placement strengths we've identified across thirty-nine years of working with these carriers. The roster runs from Ohio mutuals to national majors to specialty markets. Most clients end up on two or three of them across their personal and commercial book — that's how independent agency placement is supposed to look.
Our flagship carrier — Diamond Agency since 2014. Strong on personal HO-3, commercial GL, and middle-market commercial property. Claim service through a dedicated local field rep, not a 1-800 number.
Personal lines on multi-vehicle households with clean MVRs, and commercial GL/Property across most middle-market verticals. Strong defense reputation in third-party claims.
Small-business BOP appetite (under $5M revenue), professional liability for accountants and attorneys, and the AARP-endorsed personal auto/home program for clients over 50.
Central-Ohio personal-lines mainstay. Excellent on accounts with teenage drivers and bundled multi-policy households. Local agent-facing service team, not a call center.

Ohio-domiciled, headquartered twenty minutes from our office. Strong on suburban/rural Ohio HO-3, farm coverage, and commercial property in Franklin and Delaware Counties.
Ohio mutual, headquartered in Columbus. Highly competitive on personal auto in zip codes where the national majors are over-priced. Mid-market commercial appetite.
Mid-Atlantic regional. Strong BOP appetite for retail, restaurants, and service businesses. Competitive on commercial property in the $250K-$2M range.
National-name carrier for clients moving away from captives. Strong on commercial auto fleet (10-50 vehicles) and on personal lines where the client wants a household-name brand.
Non-standard personal auto — drivers with at-fault losses, SR-22s, or coverage lapses. Also Progressive Commercial for owner-operator and small-fleet commercial auto.
Personal-lines binder market — Safeco will write where some carriers won't take a quick-bind, useful on home purchases closing in five days.
Our oldest appointment — Rich's twelve years at Nationwide preceded the agency. Used selectively today for clients with longstanding Nationwide history they prefer to maintain.
Mid-market commercial. Excellent on manufacturers, fabricators, contractors with $2M+ fleets, and commercial property in the $1M-$10M range. Strong loss-control engineering support.
Small-business BOP, Workers Comp (in non-monopolistic states), and commercial auto for small fleets. Aggressive on contractor placements other carriers decline.
Allstate-owned bundled personal-lines product. Single-policy auto + home + umbrella with one bill and one deductible across both — appreciated by clients who want administrative simplicity.
Personal auto, home, and life across MetLife-affiliated employer programs. Useful where the client has employer-discount eligibility.
Mobile-home and manufactured-home, recreational vehicles (motorhomes, travel trailers), and motorcycle. Also our DP-1 rental-property market for real-estate investors.
Classic-auto agreed-value coverage. The market standard for collector cars, vintage motorcycles, and other valuation-specific specialty vehicles.
Term life and whole life — our primary life appointment. Competitive across most age and health classes, with strong simplified-underwriting options under $400K death benefit.
Individual disability income protection — the gold-standard product in our DI rotation. Strong own-occupation language and long benefit periods.
Group and individual disability. Strong on group-LTD for small employers (10-100 lives) and on individual DI for wage-earners Principal won't quote.
Term and whole life paired with personal-lines bundle through the Auto-Owners P&C side. Cross-line discount is meaningful (8-12%) and the carrier-of-one simplicity is appreciated.

The carriers on this page are the ones we've chosen — not the ones who have chosen us. We've ended appointments with carriers whose claim service slipped, and turned down appointments from carriers whose underwriting was too aggressive on the front end and too restrictive on the claim end. Independent agency means the roster is the choice.
